  • Teen Sailing (ages 11-18)

    Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 am          September 2, 9 &23

    Enrollment: minimum 4 students

    Cost: $105

    Class is designed for beginner sailors who might be a little older and/or are interested in double handed boats. Come and learn the basics of rigging, trimming sails, steering, crewing, the language of sailing and boating safety in our new Hartley sail boats.  Students will learn the importance of both positions on the boat, skipper and crew, and will learn to work together as a team. Classes will focus on sportsmanship, seamanship, local navigation, and the FUN of cruising on the Sound. Bring a friend or meet new ones and start sailing now!

  • Includes: fishing & boat rides    $250/week

    Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of fishing, tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire.


    Morning Class:

    Mon – Friday,  9:00 am – 12:00 pm

    (August 10-14)


    Afternoon Class:

    Mon – Friday,  1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

  • Week 7 (Aug. 3-7)

    Feathered & Scaled Friends (PM Session, 1 pm - 4 pm)

    Discover the winged world of birds and aquatic realm of fish. Search for all kinds of birds that spend lots of time in or near the water, learn about bird nests and migrations, inspect fish colors and shapes, and even dissect a fish. Don’t forget to bring your best bird calls and fish grunts as we try to communicate with our new friends.

    $215/week

     
  • Exploring RI Coast (Ages 6–9)

    July 6–10, 9:00 am – Noon     $190/week 

    Includes: fishing, kayaking, boogie boarding and snorkel adventures    

    Dive deep into many local marine ecosystems including salt ponds, beach dunes, and underwater mud and sand flats.  Try your luck at fishing and crabbing as you interpret environmental signs to find the best places to catch these wild animals!  Get an exciting introduction to kayaking.
