  • Hartley Sailing (Ages 10-15)

    Thurdays 4:00-5:30 pm         Sept 3, 10, 17, 24; Oct 1 & 8

    Enrollment: minimum 4 students

    Cost: $155/series        

    Come and sail in the popular new Hartley 12's and be introduced to double handed sailing.  The Hartley is a great new boat that is easy to sail with 2 or even solo.  This boat is easy to rig and will get you out in about no time.  Before you know it you will be cruising around Fishers Island sound.
     
  • Family Snorkeling

    Saturdays & Sundays; September 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 & 27

    1:00-3:00 pm

    Minimum: 6 participants               Cost: $30/participant/class

    Jump into the ocean world with your family by safely snorkeling the waters of Fishers Island Sound!  A NESS instructor will guide you through the basics of snorkeling, and will transport you to remote snorkeling locations by boat.  No experience in snorkeling is necessary, but comfort in the water is a must.  Class includes use of a life jacket, mask and snorkel, and wetsuit.  Sign up for some or all sessions.   

     
  • Family Geocaching

    Saturdays & Sundays; November 14, 15, 21 & 22

    1:00-2:30 pm

    Minimum: 6 participants               Cost: $90/series, $15/class

    Explore the fun hobby of geocaching!  Geocaching is a real life treasure hunt using a device that has GPS!  Join a NESS scientist as we learn rules and etiquette of geocaching, make an item to let other geocachers know we’ve discovered a particular treasure and go geocaching!  Remember to dress warmly as we will be outside!     

     
  • Gallup Hill Bubble Science (Grades K-6)

    Friday, January 15th     1:15-4:15 pm

    Enrollment: minimum 10 students

    Cost: $40

    Bubbles are fascinating, simple things that can be scientifically amazing! Experiment with different types of bubble solutions, create bubble wands, and experiment what would cause a bubble to pop.     Cost: $40

    Build and race your own alternative energy vehicle that is powered by you! Compare and graph how your vehicle does compared to other students and finally race your vehicle in the first ever Gallup Hill Puff Car Grand Prix.  Registration due: Oct. 9th, please contact Gallup Hill to register.
