  • Boaters Ed (Ages 12-17)

    Includes: classroom modules, boat driving practice & US Sailing Safe Powerboating Certificate    $280/week

    Join a NESS USCG licensed captain and learn the basics of safe boating. Program is designed for young boaters who are interested in gaining knowledge and confidence in coastal navigation. Students will take to the water as they learn basic powerboat maneuvers in one of our 17" whalers, including docking and anchoring. Upon successful completion of the on-water and classroom modules students will receive their US Sailing Safe Powerboating Certificate. Students will also have satisfied the Connecticut State requirements to obtain their CT Sate Boaters License.

  • Wind & Waves (Ages 11-17)

    Includes: surfing, windsurfing & boat rides    $310/week

    The power of the ocean is supreme, come learn to harness this power!  The ocean and its connections with land give us the ultimate tool to play with – strong winds and crashing waves. This week you will have the opportunity to utilize them both. Test your skills in harnessing the wind while riding on a windsurf board.  Learn how to predict, select and judge waves while surfing. Experience the incredible feeling of riding the wind and waves while gaining excellent upper body strength, balance and core fitness!

  • Play-Yak = GAME ON! (Ages 9-12)

    Includes: kayaking & games    $220/week

    That’s right – you read correctly. This week is all about games and having FUN on the water. Kayak your way through the harbor and play games like capture the flag, sponge tag, kayak soccer, knockout, and create your own scavenger hunt. Test your paddle technique, balance and coordination in this week of getting out on the water and playing with your friends.

  • Hartley 12 Level 1 (ages 10-16)

    Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm        $285/week

    June 22-26; July 6-10; July 20-24; Aug 3-7; Aug 17-21

    Pre-requisites, Level 1: none

    Beginner Level - New this year is the Hartley Level 1 class.   This replaces the 420 Level 1 program and offers a great one week learn to sail program for older students. Students will learn basic sailing lingo, how to rig and how to sail on this new slick boat.   Designed as a recreational level boat the Hartley 12 is the perfect boat to get started in the fun sport of sailing.
     
  • SUP-YAKERS (Ages 9-12 & 11–17)

    Includes: stand up paddle boarding & kayaking     $230/week

    Combine the best of standup paddle boarding with kayaking to become a SUP-Yaker! Paddle your way around the warm waters of Little Narragansett Bay while testing your core strength, balance and fitness in this paddling adventure. Challenge yourself with new skills, play SUP & Yak games, and enjoy the company of friends while exploring our local waters. Classes will combine stretching and fitness with fun and adventure.

  • Bic Blasting (ages 9-13)

    Monday – Friday, 1:00 -4:00 pm            $285/week

    June 29-July 3; July 13-17; July 27-31; Aug 10-14; Aug 17-21

    Pre-requisites: Opti Green Fleet or Learn to BIC

    Intermediate to Advanced Level -This class is for those sailors who want to go blasting around with other know how to sailors in these fun and fast boats.   The O’pen Bic is a fast easy to rig boat that looks and feels completely different than the Opti.   This is the perfect class to join other students who already know how to sail and who want to try a different type of boat.
     
  • Learn to Bic (ages 8-12)

    Pre-requisites: Opti Learn to Sail or Second Taste of Opti

    Intermediate Level - Our Learn to Bic class will introduce students who have already taken one of our taste or learn to sail classes how to sail another type of boat.     The O’pen Bic is a fast planning boat that allows students to feel the need for speed at an early age.   Designed specifically for kids, the O’pen BIC is a true glide machine for real excitement on the water.
