  • Caine's Arcade Challenge (Grades K-4)

    Thursdays 4:00-5:30        February 4, 11, 18 & 25

    Enrollment: minimum 6 students

    Cost: $80

    Follow in 9 year old Caine’s footsteps as you build your own arcade games out of cardboard, recycled materials, and creativity.  Work as a team to design, build, and play your games.  Gain inspiration from Caine’s Arcade website and prepare for the Global Cardboard Challenge of 2016.

    Includes: kayaking & games    $220/week

    That’s right – you read correctly. This week is all about games and having FUN on the water. Kayak your way through the harbor and play games like capture the flag, sponge tag, kayak soccer, knockout, and create your own scavenger hunt. Test your paddle technique, balance and coordination in this week of getting out on the water and playing with your friends.

  • Daisy: Clover Petal

    2 classes/1 hour per class     $30/student

    Minimum 6 participants     Please call for availability, 860-535-9362.

    Learn about and commit to protecting a fragile marsh habitat, learn about natural resources, and earn your clover petal at the same time!  The first class will meet at NESS where we will research different natural resources by playing games and doing crafts.  The second class will meet at Barn Island Marsh where we will explore and identify why this ecosystem is so important and in need of protection.

    Ocean Animal Olympics  (PM Session, 1 pm - 4 pm)

    Includes: Animal Olympic games to test for agility and survival, kayaking and snorkeling

    Compete in Ocean Animal Olympics! Learn about different animals and compete in challenges that simulate the attributes of the organisms from our underwater ecosystems. Explore the uses of antennae, claws, and beaks. Feel what it is like to be a marine mammal, compare running speed to a cheetah, and jumping ability to a kangaroo.          $215

    Water Sport Escapades  (PM Session,  1 pm - 4 pm)

    Includes: Creating your own ocean adventure kayak games, kayaking and snorkeling

    Get out snorkeling, kayaking, and ocean adventuring in this exciting program. Build your muscles as you kayak, learn to maneuver in the water to find the most awesome critters and push yourself to adventure the hardest!          $215
