  • Week 8 (August 8-12)

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, You Fish (All Day, 9:00 am-4:00 pm)

Begin each morning with Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center (DPNC) and tall tales of whales, snails and the ones that got away.  Hike each morning to spike creativity before getting busy at the beautiful and new Coogan Farm Art Barn.  Create a fanciful collage, plaque, or painting inspired by shore explorations, fish investigations, storytelling, local fishing history and your imagination.  For the afternoon, campers will be transported to New England Science & Sailing (NESS) to check out the bold methods of fish camouflage, explore fish behavior, snorkel, fish print on your own T-shirt, and travel by powerboat to learn about biodiversity in local habitats.  Try your hand at fishing using rod & reel, dip nets, seine nets, and cast nets.

     $395/week

Morning drop-off is at DPNC and afternoon pick-up will be at NESS.  Registration will be handled by DPNC at 860-536-1216.
