The leaves are changing and temperature is starting to get cooler… October is the PERFECT time for a kayak adventure! We have three events this month for novices through advanced kayakers, join us!
 

Fall Foliage Kayak: Saturday, October 15
Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage by kayaking among fallen leaves in Rhode Island’s blueways. Bring your friends for a relaxing adventure as a NESS instructor guides you along the Pawcatuck River while you take in the scenery. There’s no better time to go kayaking than in the fall! $40/adult and $20/child 12 & under includes kayak rental and equipment, including life vest. Meet at the Bradford Boat Launch in Bradford, RI at 11:45am. ** Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. ***BYOK (bring your own kayak) is available for $20, participant must bring all gear including a life vest

Autumn Gales: Monday, October 24 - Sunday, October 30
NESS will be the host of the 8th annual Autumn Gales. The event is presented by Kayak Waveology, a kayak school and expedition company based out of eastern Connecticut. This fun-filled and exciting training event will take place in the waters of Fishers Island Sound, with local and international British Canoe Union (BCU) coaches and rough water experts as guides. Fishers Island Sound is a popular destination for kayakers because of its beautiful views, tides, and challenging navigation.

Pre Halloween Kayak: Saturday, October 29 Grab a friend and join us for a pre-Halloween kayak through the serene waters of Rhode Island. Bundle up and get ready to see some beautiful foliage as your instructor guides you along the Pawcatuck River. Take in the view and enjoy a cup of cider after you’re done. There’s no better time to go kayaking than in the fall!
