Wuskenau Ocean Adventures!

March 19, 2015

Does your child love being around the ocean and exploring the coastline?  Does your child love to have fun snorkeling, kayaking or fishing?  Then sign them up for Wuskenau Ocean Adventures (WOA) at the beach in Westerly!  This is our second summer providing a youth adventure program at Wuskenau Beach in Westerly, in association with the Westerly Recreation Department.

We teach classes for ages 6–9 (Habitat Hoppers) & 10–13 (Eco Adventurers), offering a variety of week-long water activities. Each week has a fun and adventurous theme, such as Exploring the RI Coast, Animal Predators, Boards and Biology and Junior Lifeguards.  Many of these classes include kayaking, fishing, boogie boarding and snorkel adventures.  Your child will learn about the marine environment, get good exercise, and have lots of fun!  Students are guided through the program by our fully trained, certified and experienced staff members. Programs meet  at WuskenauTown Beach at 316 Atlantic Avenue on the Winnepaug Pond side and it includes free parking for the week of program.  Registration is online: www.nessf.orgSign up now, and we’ll see you on the water!
